Here is how it went. Kevin, co-founder and Frame Weave’s technical brain, took the automation side. Julie, with years of motion graphics and digital signage production under her belt, took the manual route. Same grocery store specials. Same content. Same starting gun. Go.
Kevin created a playlist, connected it to the grocery store’s live data, clicked save, and waited about 10 seconds for the render. Done. He literally offered to go get tea while Julie was still opening her files.
Julie, meanwhile, was doing what any experienced production person does: hunting for assets, pulling from a client spreadsheet, and copy-pasting data into 30 individual layers. She is fast. She knows After Effects cold. It still took 20 minutes, and that was one store, one update, no mistakes.
When a grocery retailer needs to update their digital signage, someone has to open the design file, whether that is After Effects, Canva, or Figma. They pull data from a spreadsheet.
